1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy is provided by Sand's Store, the developer of E-Fridge ("the App"). It explains how the App collects, uses, stores and protects your information. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Core Principles

• No account registration is required.
• All your grocery records, photos, barcodes, expiry dates and settings are stored locally on your device only.
• We do not upload your grocery or personal data to developer servers.
• No third-party tracking SDKs, analytics or advertising trackers are integrated into the App.
• When you manually search product information via barcode, only the barcode number will be sent to public open food databases for query. We do not log your barcode search history.

3. Permissions Requested

Camera (Optional)

Used to scan barcodes and take photos of groceries. Images are processed locally. You can revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings.

Storage / Media Access (Optional)

Used to save grocery photos and import/export local backup files. All files remain within the App sandbox.

Notifications (Optional)

Used for local expiry reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally by your operating system. No cloud push service is involved.

The App does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone or other unnecessary permissions.

4. Locally Stored Data (Not Remotely Accessible by Us)

All data entered manually by you remains on your device, including:

• Item name, brand, quantity, storage location, production date, expiry reminder settings
• Barcode numbers, grocery photos, custom categories and notes
• App preferences including language, theme and reminder rules

We do not collect your real name, phone number, email address, home address, IP address, advertising identifiers, device identifiers (IDFA, IMEI, OAID), or any other personally identifiable information.

5. How to Delete Your Data

• Delete individual grocery items or clear all data directly inside the App.
• Uninstall the App. Your operating system will automatically remove all local databases and images.

If you enable device cloud backup services (such as iCloud or Google Drive), your operating system may back up App data automatically. This behavior is controlled by your operating system rather than E-Fridge or Sand's Store.

6. Internet Connections

The App connects to the internet only in the following situations:

• Manual barcode lookup. Barcode numbers are sent to the OpenFoodFacts public database to retrieve product information. No personal information is transmitted or stored.
• Optional app version checking.

No silent background data uploads are performed.

7. Third-Party Services

Barcode lookup uses the OpenFoodFacts public database. When you use this feature, your request is also subject to the OpenFoodFacts Privacy Policy. Sand's Store is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

E-Fridge is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, please use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

9. GDPR Rights (EU / EEA / UK Users)

If you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, erase and manage your personal data. Since all App data is stored locally on your own device and no copies are retained by Sand's Store, all data management can be performed directly within the App.

10. CCPA / CPRA Notice (California Residents)

Sand's Store does not sell, rent or share your personal information. Therefore, the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option is not applicable. We do not possess your local data and cannot perform remote deletion.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Significant changes will be communicated within the App when appropriate.
